Choosing Your Day-Of Contact

When planning your wedding live stream with LoveStream, we request that you have a day-of contact. Because our team is not on-site, this is who we will communicate with and depend on to set everything up on the big day. (And don’t panic, by “set everything up” we just mean put the streaming devices where they need to be, click a link to enter the stream and make sure the devices are on the correct setting).

They will also be who we contact if something goes wrong (which rarely happens, but you never know when a giant gust of wind could blow the tripod over).

Not sure who to choose? Follow the advice below before your wedding day!

Your day-of contact should be:

·      Available a few hours before and during the wedding

·      Comfortable with basic functions on devices (auto-lock, do not disturb, charging)

·      At least a little bit tech-savvy

·      Someone you trust with access to devices being used

·      Attentive to details

·      Someone responsible, punctual and responsive

Your day-of contact should not be:

·      Either half of the couple getting married

·      Anyone in the wedding party

·      Someone who wants to be hyper-focused on the wedding (i.e. parents or siblings)

·      Someone who is not comfortable with smartphones

·      Someone flakey or who might not show up

A good day-of contact for your virtual wedding might be the boyfriend or girlfriend of someone in the wedding party – they’ll be there the whole day, but they don’t necessarily need to be involved in the wedding. You might also ask your wedding planner to be your day-of contact but be sure that they will be able to take time away from their typical duties to set up tripods and ensure everything is connected properly.

Wondering if your buddy is cut out to be your day-of contact for your live stream wedding? We can help! Book a free consultation today with our team to discuss exactly what goes into live streaming your wedding.
